My career path was a very interesting one as throughout my time in high school, my aim was to go in to engineering and potentially architecture. I have always been an analytical thinker which works out well when it comes to breaking down movement and how to rehab it.
I had always been involved in several sports at a time throughout high school but my interest in to movement rehab really started with injuries I sustained while playing rugby. Though I did not know it at the time, this is what changed the course of my life.
I have always had an intense passion for movement and strength training, but the ability to decrease pain and how to apply that movement is what I find truly interesting.
I attended Douglas College from which I completed my sport science diploma, transitioned to UBC to complete my degree in Kinesiology. Certifications in STR 1, IKN 1 & FST 1. This combined with my experiences working as a registered Kinesiologist has shaped my practice to focus on the body as a whole, and how habits, behaviours and injuries can change how the body and brain behaves concerning movement and movement patterns. I believe that this is key to really changing movement behaviour and making movement fun for everybody!
Outside of work, I enjoy weight training, finding good food and travelling the world.

Calvin graduated from West Coast College of Massage Therapy in 2020. He has taken special training with IASTM (Instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization), and fascial work but mainly focuses his practice on NeuroKinetic Therapy (NKT).
He is an outgoing, passionate and active individual. Outside of work he is an avid cyclist and enjoys shredding the slopes.
With over 8 years of physically demanding and office-setting work, Calvin noticed some physical changes in his body regarding poor movement patterns, painful posture, and chronic pain alongside his previous injuries through sports. He then quickly became curious about what preventative maintenance he could’ve done to live a more enjoyable, pain-free life.
Through experiencing multiple injuries he was given the opportunity to seek massage therapy and found soft tissue mobilization to be extremely effective. As a result, this gave Calvin the passion to pursue a profession where he can empower and educate his patients, ultimately leading them into a pain-free lifestyle. Through his education in becoming a Registered Massage Therapist at WCCMT, he gained clinical experience working with a vast number of the population and conditions which includes seniors, neurological, and sports injuries.
Calvin believes that no patient presents exactly the same, this being said he would formulate a treatment approach specifically for each individual including specific homecare and exercises to maximize the effectiveness of each massage therapy treatment.
Ultimately Calvin would like to make an impact on his community by helping others get back to doing what they love in an improved pain-free way!
Please note: This is not your standard massage therapy session. Calvin will focus on manual therapy to enhance your movement. Our aim is to improve your mobility and create stability, so we ask that you come dressed in shorts and a sports bra or tank top, as you’ll be moving around periodically during the session. We look forward to working with you!

Now, utilizing the knowledge and experience from two professions, Calvin has acquired the versatility in handling everyday patients, to athletic injuries and recoveries.
Outside of the clinic, Calvin strives to “feel good, move good”. He has a strong passion for weight lifting, basketball and volleyball, but also believes in trying new forms of movements and exercises as an outlet to further his knowledge about the body.
